Join Dr. Lisa Chavez and Holistic Personal Trainer Lovoka Knezevic for a workshop that will help you find a new relationship with your body and mind. In four Saturdays, get to know your body, how it functions and, identify the hidden contracts your mind, body and spirit have made so that you can release those that no longer serve you  & replace them with positively powerful habits, that do work for you. Make space for a new clarity, lightness of spirit and brilliant (infectious:) vitality.

Each week Dr. Chavez will be your medical coach guiding you through the metabolic landscape of your body, with nutritional guidance and behavioral modification techniques. Holistic personal trainer Lovoka will help you with the tools to train for the journey, with a personal training session and strengthening exercises to be embraced for each week.

Dr. Lisa Chavez is a Naturopathic physician and owner of Good Natured Medicine in Greenlake, she specializes in hormonal balance, anxiety/depression, allergy treatment and weight loss. She has training in hypnotherapy/NLP, Classical homeopathy, NAET, craniosacral therapy, and a background in biochemistry. She has done research in the areas of neuroendocrinology and post-traumatic stress disorder.

Lovoka Knezevic
is a Certified Holistic Personal Trainer and Coach. She brings training and experience from massage and body mechanics; energy medicine and holistic healing.
 
They are both passionate about offering holistic practical guidance for helping you live your full potential, in body, mind and spirit.
  

Lovoka will lead personal training sessions at each meeting, so please wear appropriate clothing. You are welcome to bring kettle bells, hand weights or any other equipment you use at home (small children are great for weight training, however, to make the most efficient use of our time together, please leave them with a loving caregiver for the duration of the session :)

Refunds will be given for sessions cancelled by Oct 5th, minus a $50 registration fee per participant. Full credit for the sessions can be applied to future workshops, for cancellations after 10/5/11. Though, medical supervision and personal training sessions are overseen and provided by professionals, it is your personal responsibility to ensure your own physical well being. Thus, it is imperative to communicate any conditions that may hamper your ability to follow or participate in the program, and to modify any parts to ensure your well being. Because your participation and compliance with the program directions relies on your discretion and agency, the physician and personal trainer can not be held liable for any injury, or worsening of symptoms. Results are dependent on the unique response of your body, and your compliance with the program and thus cannot be guaranteed. Dr. Chavez will be
acting in the capacity of a medical coach for the group, not a personal physician for this program. However, she will be happy to help you on an individual level, or refer you to another physician. For the detoxification protocol, she will individually address any concerns, and participants who have gross symptoms of cardiovascular, autoimmune, inflammatory or hormonal imbalances (i.e. Hypothyroid, etc), to make the protocol appropriate for their highest benefit. 

Potential Risks include: pain, discomfort, nausea, giddiness, heat, and aggravation of pre-existing symptoms. During the detoxification phase it is not  uncommon to have changes in skin, energy and mood that may be uncomfortable for the first 2-3 days. To reduce this discomfort, it is highly important to follow the protocol and communicate with Dr. Lisa any symptoms that are of major concern in a timely manner. 
Potential Benefits include: drugless relief of presenting symptoms, and improved balance of bodily energies, the restoration of the body's maximal functional capacity, relief of pain and symptoms of disease, assistance in injury and disease recovery, and prevention of disease or its progression. Loss of weight, increase in muscle tone, endurance and capacity are possible side effects. My skin and my thought processes may become clearer. Weight loss has been shown to reduce bad cholesterol, lower blood sugar levels, balance hormones, reduce liver enzymes, lower blood pressure, and many more benefits not mentioned. It is both a medical treatment and  prevention for certain medical conditions, not limited to those mentioned above. Results are dependent on the unique response of your body, and your compliance with the program and thus cannot be guaranteed.
