The Good, The Bad, The Ugly-but good for you
The Good
Creatine is an underestimated addition. New research is showing its beneficial effects on both lean muscle mass/stamina and cognition. This brand has a clean option that’s well priced: 5g per scoop. At more than 10g of creatine you may get cramping diarrhea so go up slow and it’s imperative to stay well hydrated. No need to risk taking too much: max 20g/day for a loading period of 3 weeks before going down to 10 g. And did I mention it is important to work up slowly? All that extra muscle glycogen isn’t going to be so helpful if you’re running for the toilet, and losing your water through your ars** …Seriously, though if you have weak kidneys, stay at 3-5g/day to be safe and of course it’s always most efficient to come in for a consult on how this can work best for your body, especially if you’re trying to build bones, pregnant, vegan or just want to sharpen your mind.

The Bad
This is the example of a BAD choice: though the RDA % seem impressive they just aren’t. Like lab results based on hospital patients, the RDA amounts pertain to the 1940’s when the soil and the diet was saturated with more micronutrients, less PFAS and less processed foods. Did you know that even hair dyes, some vegetable capsules, and most every plastic is made from petroleum? Yep, sooty dinosaur bones are saturated our very nervous systems and bones. I recently read this article that associates higher heavy metals in urine not from current exposure but metals like Cadmium, Arsenic were coming from their bones which was holding the old stores of heavy metals. So, if you’re over 45, or on the thin side it’s an important aspect of your health to shore up on bone health: there’s no better just in time than now. No link provided.
The Good and Not So Ugly
The BodyFriend Massage Chair. Though the built in remote isn’t so intuitive it’s quite nice to relax in; you can even work on your laptop while at just the right incline while your neck gets a gentle shake, and shiatsu. It’s especially great for being guided out of the stickiness of limiting beliefs when you’re in the office.
